Andy Fliege
President

Andy has been in the aerial lift equipment business since 1997 where he started as a yard man. Since then he has continuously moved up and has worked with a variety of rental companies. He started with APE in March of 2004. He saw a need for a customer-oriented service shop and started the rental side of APE in 2006.

Andy was born and raised in the Quad Cities area and enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife of 4 years and  his 18 month old son.

Betsy Foster
Director of Marketing

Betsy is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with her Bachelor’s Associates in Marketing with an emphasis in Sales and Advertising. She has been in sales for two years and with Aerial Platform Experts for almost a year with a long future ahead of her.

Betsy is originally from the Quad Cities and resides in Moline, Illinois. Her hobbies include painting, home interior, and taking her dog, Tippy, for walks.

Ed Wacker

Steve Schaapveld has been in the rental business since 1979 and has held various positions with several rental companies.

 Steve handles the day to day operations involving parts, rental, and service.

He enjoys time with his wife of 30 years and his dog Schmitty.

Don Woodford
Shop Manager

Don was born and raised in the Quad City area as a farmer/mechanic. At the age of 18 he retired from farming and left home to support our country.

He is a jack of all trades but has become a first class mechanic in a plethora of different areas. He considers this the most diverse, challenging, and rewarding careers he could have hoped for (and no, we didn’t pay him to say that).

Don likes to fish and spend time with his family (wife, six boys and a girl).

Deb Braverman
Accounts Manager

Deb has been with us since October 2005 and specializes in accounts management and collections. She has been in the accounting field for 34 years and her credentials include an accounting degree which she received in 1975.

She is married to husband Mark, the mother of two married daughters, one stepdaughter and one stepson and the proud grandmother of a grandson, Joey.

Her hobbies include fishing, spending time with her grandson and playing "Texas Hold-em".
